In the spring, stroll through our towns and admire the window boxes and hanging flower baskets that fill the towns, or take a birding field trip on Eastern Neck Island. Taste signature dishes from Kent County’s finest restaurants and caterers.

In the summer you can join locals and visitors alike at the annual Tea Party Festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Chestertown with fresh local food, craft vendors and Revolutionary War re-enactments. Enjoy a free summer concert or stroll through our many museums. Listen to music from musicians from around the world at the annual National Music Festival held the first two weeks in June at venues throughout the county. Join in the festivities of Pirates & Wenches Fantasy Weekend in August. Attend the Farmers’ Market and Artisans’ markets every Saturday morning. Enjoy Music in the Park on Saturday evenings. Visit our wineries and microbrewery. Attend a performance at the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre in Chestertown, The Mainstay in Rock Hall or Washington College in Chestertown.

Fall is a wonderful time in Kent County. Come to the Rock Hall Fall Fest or join the Chestertown Historic House Tour. Attend the Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition & Sale or the see the traditional sailing vessels from around the Chesapeake when they visit Chestertown to help the schooner Sultana celebrate the close of its season under sail at Downrigging Weekend. And don’t miss the annual Artworks Studio Tour and Show where you can enter into the working studios of area artists and craftspeople, ask questions, see them at work and get a chance to purchase incredible art at studio prices.
