    Headquartered in Ridgely, Maryland and serving Caroline, Talbot, Queen Anne's and Kent Counties, Benedictine was founded in 1959 by the sisters of St. Benedict as a residential and day school for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Benedictine's Open Community Program, established in 1982, provides regional residential and vocational services for adults in Maryland and Delaware.
