    Founded in 1999 with 47 singers, the Chorale is now nearly 100 voices strong. Under the leadership of Doug Cox, the Chorale annually presents major winter holiday and spring concerts among its programs, as well as providing choral support for the National Music Festival at Washington College in June. The Chorale welcomes those who want to sing for the joy of it. No audition is required.

    The Chestertown Tea Party Festival takes place every Memorial Day weekend. The Festival starts on Friday evening with a downtown Block Party.     The Kent County Learning Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide local, supportive educational opportunities for Kent County businesses and all Kent County residents. We currently offer free tutoring for elementary through college level students; GED preparation classes; and continuing education courses in Spanish, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop. With adequate enrollment, college credit courses can be offered. Businesses training eight (8) or more people may customize courses to meet their particular needs. All classes are taught by Chesapeake College staff. The Kent County Learning Center is staffed by 40+ volunteers with advanced degrees. This unique resource allows the Kent County Learning Center to provide free one-to-one- tutoring and childcare services to any student enrolled at the Learning Center.
